Kieron was classically trained on both the piano and the tuba from the age of 7.
He played in various orchestras and ensembles for many years, before eventually undertaking a music performance degree at Kingston University.
 
It was well into his 20s that he decided to delve into the world of jazz, which was when the Kieron Garrett Quartet (KGQ) was formed; featuring one of the UK's finest saxophonists Dave O'Higgins.
 
During his professional career, he has played in numerous different bands, playing at some of the most famous venues in the UK including Ronnie Scott's, 606 Club and Pizza Express.

Since the launch in 2018, Synthonic has attracted press & label interest from around the world, which has lead to 'I Hop' being signed to Supertunes (Big Mama's House Records - Germany) & 'You've Got Me Tied Up' to the NightOwl Collective (USA).
